Description
According to an accession agreement which was signed by Governor Christian Kettel Thomsen, Danmarks Nationalbank, and Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, the DKK will become part of the ECB’s liquidity management and payments system (T2) and the instant payments system (TIPS) after the planned migration for 2025. This marks the “first non-euro area currency to handle both payments and securities transactions on the pan-European system, TARGET Services”.
